Producida con un presupuesto de unos 55 millones de d\u00f3lares, el filme recaud\u00f3 m\u00e1s de 700 millones en todo el mundo, adem\u00e1s de conseguir seis estatuillas en los Oscar, entre las que obtuvo la de Mejor Pel\u00edcula y Mejor Actor para Hanks. <br>\nNo es la primera vez que Advait Chandan y Aamir Kahn trabajan juntos. El director de \u00abLal Singh Chadha\u00bb ya hab\u00eda dirigido al int\u00e9rprete en \u00abSecret Superstar\u00bb, drama musical de 2017. <br>\nSeg\u00fan informa The Hollywood Reporter, el remake fue anunciado durante la celebraci\u00f3n en Mumbai del 54 cumplea\u00f1os del actor, que revel\u00f3 por qu\u00e9 decidi\u00f3 participar en la adaptaci\u00f3n y avanz\u00f3 que la producci\u00f3n comenzar\u00eda en octubre de este a\u00f1o. La pel\u00edcula podr\u00eda estrenarse en oto\u00f1o de 2020, con bastantes posibilidades de arrasar en la taquilla asi\u00e1tica.<br>\n\u00abForrest Gump\u00bb describe varias d\u00e9cadas de la vida de Forrest Gump, un nativo de Alabama que sufre de una leve discapacidad intelectual.
