Un \u00abelixir\u00bb de sabor y color que terminar\u00eda con la adicci\u00f3n al alcohol habr\u00eda sido elaborado por grupo de investigadores de la Universidad de Chile.
De acuerdo al diario capitalino La Segunda, el trabajo liderado por los acad\u00e9micos Mario Rivera y David V\u00e1squez de la Facultad de Qu\u00edmica comprob\u00f3 que el denominado compuesto ALDA-1 podr\u00eda reducir la ingesta voluntaria del l\u00edquido incoloro.
Para comprobar el compuesto se utilizaron ratas, las cuales redujeron su consumo voluntario de alcohol en un 70%, mientras que cuando se les quit\u00f3 el suministro de ALDA-1 los animales volvieron a su consumo habitual.
El descubrimiento fue publicado en la revista cient\u00edfica Neuropharmacology, y representa un importante avance en cuanto a la posibilidad de que en el futuro se cuente con una sustancia capaz de combatir el alcoholismo.
